In this episode of “Blood Cancer Talks,” hosts Raj Chakraborty, MD, Ashwin Kishtagari, MD, and Edward Cliff, MD are joined by Kate Cwynarski, MBBS, PhD, of the University of College London.
The conversation focuses on several recent studies, including the MARTA, MATRIX, and PRIMAIN studies, as they discuss the management of primary central nervous system (CNS) lymphoma, secondary CNS lymphoma, and CNS prophylaxis.
They also discuss ASH 2022 data on PET scan in CNS lymphoma, which “aimed to analyze whether BMB could be safely omitted in the diagnostic workup in patients with PCNSL of DLBCL histology without signs of systemic lymphoma on PET-CT scans.”
Finally, Dr. Cwynarski and the hosts evaluate how to treat secondary CNS involvement by aggressive lymphomas.
