Marina Konopleva, MD, PhD, of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, talks with Blood Cancers Today about her session on alternative treatment options to chemotherapy in acute leukemia.

She also gives her thoughts on chimeric antigen receptors versus natural killer cell therapy in treating the disease.

Dr. Konopleva presented during a session at the American Association for Cancer Research Annual Meeting 2023, which was held April 14-19 in Orlando, Florida. Her talk was titled, “Targeting apoptosis in leukemia: lessons and challenges.”
